Our Guide for the Journey of Life

MESSAGE
Ptr./Bro. Cesar Fidelis

OUR GUIDE FOR THE JOURNEY OF LIFE
Psalms 32:8
1Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

2Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

3When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

4For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

5I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

6For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.

7Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

8I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

9Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

10Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.

11Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

verse 1-5 : Speaks the wonder of God's Forgiveness

MESSAGE
Ptr. Melecio Supnet

Joshua 1:1-9
1Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,

2Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.

3Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

4From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.

5There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

6Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.

7Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.

8This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

9Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

INVITATION
Ptr. Lorenzo Bobis

PERSONAL APPLICATION:
Sometimes I brag about what I have done for Christ, most often I compare myself with my christian friends who have been a Christian years before I've known our Lord so Often times when my mom would remind me of doing a serious work for Christ because the final day is nearly coming, she often tells me that I should be doing God's work instead of other not-so-important-things - I would answer back saying "what kind of service are you asking me exactly? I have been serving the Lord more than my other christian friends who have been Christians years before me - where are they now? unlike me - despite all the rocky roads I've been through this church I'm still here serving the Lord."
It's true - during my baby Christian times - I have been condemned and not nourished as a baby christian - I have been fed with meat instead of milk -- but despite all that I have been through , which I think is God's way of building a solid and firm christian faith in me -- yes I am still here - serving our Lord... but what I think is enough is not really enough... I still have to do more task for our Lord and so this is the reason why I have decided to put this website a possibility so I can share God's goodness to people who does n't know Christ.

but let us not stop from here... let us always ask ourselves: "What can I still do for Christ?"

The Bear In the Cave

4:46 AM / Posted by Bhebhe Lacson / comments (0)

Two adventurous teenage boys who were good friends were out spelunking (exploring caves) when they found what appeared to be huge bear tracks deep inside a long, cavernous tunnel. They bravely decided to keep going, but they moved ahead slowly and with extreme caution, keeping their eyes and ears open in case they actually encountered a bear.

Suddenly, from the darkness behind a rock jumped the biggest, meanest-looking grizzly bear they had ever seen. Standing squarely in front of them, the bear beat on his chest and roared like a lion, sending a terrible sound echoing off the walls of the cave. Scared to death, the two boys decided they had better run for their lives. They immediately turned to make a dash for daylight.

Just the, one of the boys dropped to the floor and started untying his hiking boots. He whipped the boots off, jammed on his running shoes, and began trying the laces.

His exaperated friend yelled at him, "Come on, man! Let's get out of here! why in the world are you changing shoes? We don't have much of a chance of outrunning that bear anyway!"

Lunging to his feet and starting to run, the first boy replied, "I don't have to outrun the bear. All I have to do is outrun you."

APPLICATION:

Do you ever feel like your friends treat you like bear bait? When the going gets rough, they bail out on you. They remain friends with you until it costs them something -- then they ditch you.

One of the great things about having Christ as your friend is knowing that He will never leave you nor forsake you

Matthew 28:20
20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Hebrews 13:5
5Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

He is the friend who is not only willing to lay down His life for you, but He has done exactly that.

John 15:13
"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends"

ONLY JESUS CAN BE YOUR TRUE AND FAITHFUL FRIEND - He is the friend whom you can really rely on, Most of the time our friends put us down, forget about us, sometimes they are fair-weather friends, only remembers when they needed you, sometimes they leave you hanged.... Jesus is not the same I hope my dear readers if you haven't experience God's Friendship, you may be able to find Him here..... try JESUS!

A Personal relationship with Jesus is the cornerstone of marriage

5:02 AM / Posted by Bhebhe Lacson / comments (0)

Behold I lay in zion a choice stone, a precious corner stone, and he who believes in Him shall not be Dissappointed. 1 Peter 2:6

Marriage involves a blending of lives, not merely a "joinin". Many Marriages flunder because the individuals in them keep looking back over their shoulders at freedoms and relationships they had in the past. When a couple invites Jesus Christ to be the cornerstone of their marriage as the true point of strength on which they build their relationship -- they are inviting Him to "walk out front" before them. Then He is free to lead them forward into the unique purpose He has for them as a married couple.

We are unique as individuals. But each marriage is also unique. It is a "individual" and one-of-a-kind as the two people involved. Just as God created us as completely original individuals, so we need to invite Him to create our marriages as completely original relationships. This can only happen when each person in the realtionship yields his or her individuality to God's Higher purpose.

As C.S. Lewis said, "Self exists to be abdicated. In self giving we touch a rhythm, not only of all creation, but of all being, for the Eternal Word also gives Himself in sacrifice".

People who missed the Golden Opportunities

WORSHIP SERVICE

MESSAGE
Ptr. Lorenzo Bobis

The Bible is full of Examples of people who missed the Golden Opportunities

1. The People of Noah's Day had a chance to come to the Ark

-But they had other things to do...

2. The people of Sodom and Gomorrah had a chance to repent.

3. The two thieves on the Cross both had an opportunity

4. The Story of the Good Samaritan.

How did Most of the world receive this Golden Opportunity

1. How did they receive Mary & Joseph

- When he got to Bethlehem - everyone was busy
- Mary was in the 9 month of Pregnancy
- She was ready to deliver the baby

but every door they knocked tells them: "We're Sorry, but we don't have any room"

PERSONAL APPLICATION:

"Only if..." This is the most common word we end up saying after missing something and regretting it in the end. Making this blog into possibility is one thing I would surely regret if I didn't made up my mind and finally started it - Our Decisions we make for Christ is the most important and shouldn't be missed. I am not a perfect christian - oftentimes I stumble , my mom always tell me that my service to the Lord isn't enough - before I condemn her for telling me that and for judging me- I think to myself that I have done my best if not so much for the Lord - most of my batchmates, today --they are backsliders -- they've forgotten about God - but me I am still here, standing before the Lord serving Him despite all the discouragements and condemnations I had encountered in my whole christian Life...
But now I realized, it is true - my service is not enough - I have made this blog as a part of my ministry in serving the Lord - I wish to share Jesus to my friends and everyone all over the world - I guess this is the best way to do that - I failed to do this task personally, I pray that this way I can do my duty as a Christian ---- so I won't regret anything when the time comes.....

CHRISTMAS

Luke 2: 8-15
8And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ[a] the Lord. 12This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."

13Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14"Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

15When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."

THE FAMILY UNDER ATTACK

Christians which has three enemies that the bible speaks about:

1. The world system
2. Our Old Fleshly Motive
3. Satan himself

Ephesians 6:12

12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

2 Corinthians 11:14

14And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.

2 Corinthians 2:11

11in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.

The major battlegrounds for our Families

1. HUMANISTIC "enlightenment"
- secular education

2. AMORAL PHILOSOPHY

Romans 1:21
21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.

- no accountability
- no standards
- I'll do what I please

Romans 1:22-27

22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

3. MEDIA invasion

1 John 2:15

15Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

The Family Begins in a Commitment of Love

7:32 AM / Posted by Bhebhe Lacson / comments (0)

For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. Ephesians 5:31 AMP

If you were to hold a lump of dark green clay in one hand, and a lump of light green clay in the other, you could clearly identify the two shades of color. However if you were to mold the two lumps together, kneading them thoroughly until they were truly blended, you would see just one lump green clay... at least at first glance. Upon closer inspection, you could see the distinct and separate lines of dark and light green clay, yet it would be virtually impossible to separate the clay intow two pure colors again.

That is an image of what it means for a husband and wife to become "one flesh" -- love binds the couple together, especially as they knead out some of their differences and develop a life of mutual goals, activities, and relationship.

A grandma once told her young granddaughter that Jim and June were coming for a visit. With eager anticipation, they baked a special treats and cleaned the house thoroughly in expectation of their overnight stay. With wide-eyed wonder the little girl exclaimed upon their arrival, "Nanna, there are two people. Someone came with Jim-and-June!" When the name of one is so readily associated with the other... the clay truly has been blended.

TOGETHER AS A FAMILY

Malachi 2:10-17

10Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?

11Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god.

12The LORD will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the LORD of hosts.

13And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand.

14Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.

15And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.

16For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

17Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?

The First thing we must understand as a Family

1. Is where we learn to glorify God and live for Him

2. Is where we recieve love and nurturing

"Parenting is complicated... but not impossible"

3. Is where we learn values and character

Proverbs 22:6
6Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

STRENGTHENING THE FAMILY IN TODAY'S SOCIETY
Psalms 127: 1

1Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
3Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

"What kind of children & youth we have today?"
-but let us also ask...
"What kind of Parents are we?"

WHAT IS AFFECTING OUR FAMILY?
* Broken Homes
* Busy Bodies
* Adulteries
* Disobedient children
* Duel Working Families
* Single Parent Families
* Grandparents raising grandchildren
* Homosexuality

The Bible is very clear : 1 Timothy 3:1-7

1This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.

2A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

3Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

4One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;

5(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

6Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

7Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

"IT IS THE LAST DAYS"

so if you want to know how to strengthen the Family in today's society...

1. Begin giving God your Life

ILLUSTRATION: THE HERO AND THE GANGSTER"

*SUMMARY OF eRUMR

Butch O'Hare, the war hero after whom Chicago's O'Hare airport is named, was the son of mob lawyer Eddie O'Hare. The email tells the story of Butch O'Hare's bravery as well as a decision of conscience on the part of his father that may have contributed to his character.

*THE TRUTH

Lt. Commander Edward Henry "Butch" O'Hare is the subject of many articles that document his outstanding service as a pilot during World War II. He was presented with the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions against the Japanese and defending the U.S.S. Lexington. According to the official citation of his Medal of Honor, he won the recognition "For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in aerial combat..." It says he was the section leader of Fighting Squadron 3 on February 20, 1942. According to an article on aviation-history.com, six Wildcats were sent into the air to protect the Lexington from Japanese bombers. O'Hare and his wingman spotted the enemy planes first. The wingman's guns jammed, however, and the other four planes were too far away, so O'Hare faced 9 twin-engine Japanese bombers alone. He shot down five of them and damaged a sixth before other U.S. fighters arrived. No enemy bombs made it to the Lexington. The Medal of Honor citation calls it "...one of the most daring, if not the most daring, single action in the history of combat aviation..." O'Hare was killed in November of 1943 during the battle for the Gilbert Islands in the South Pacific. He was accidentally shot down by another American plane during a night mission. It is true that Chicago's O'Hare airport is named after him and there is a restored airplane on display there similar to the one that O'Hare flew.

Butch's father, Eddie O'Hare, was an attorney and business partner of the famous gangster Al Capone. He helped run Capone's horse and dog track operation in Chicago. He was described as being devoted to his son. There was a point when Eddie decided to secretly become an informant for the Internal Revenue Service and it was with his help that the government convicted and imprisoned Capone for income tax evasion. Some have said that Eddie became an informant because of a change of heart and a desire to go straight. Others have said it was merely his way of saving his neck in the face of potential prosecution. It was an article in Collier's magazine in 1947 about Eddie O'Hare's work as an informant that helped win public favor for him and the eventual naming of Chicago's airport after his war-hero sun. The article was written by Frank J. Wilson, the Treasury Department investigator with whom O'Hare had worked on the case. The article was titled "Unde
rcover man: he trapped Capone." Wilson called O'Hare one of his best undercover men.

Last updated 6/20/01

A real example of the story as it has been circulated:

One such man was Lieutenant Commander Butch O'Hare.

He was a fighter pilot assigned to an aircraft carrier Lexington in the South Pacific.

One day his entire squadron was sent on a mission. After he was airborne, he looked at his fuel gauge and realized that someone had forgotten to top off his fuel tank. He would not have enough fuel to complete his mission and get back to his ship. His flight leader told him to return to the carrier. Reluctantly he dropped out of formation and headed back to the fleet. As he was returning to the mothership, he saw something that turned his blood cold. A squadron of Japanese bombers were speeding their way toward the American fleet. The American fighters were gone on a sortie and the fleet was all but defenseless. He couldn't reach his squadron and bring them back in time to save the fleet. Nor, could he warn the fleet of the approaching danger. There was only one thing to do. He must somehow divert them from the flaeet.

Laying aside all thoughts of personal safety, he dove into the formation of Japanese planes. Wing-mounted 50 caliber's blazed as he charged in, attacking one surprised enemy plane and then another. Butch weaved in and out of the now broken formation and fired at as many planes as possible until finally all his ammunition was spent. Undaunted, he continued the assault. He dove at the planes, trying to at least clip off a wing or tail, in hopes of damaging as many enemy planes as possible and rendering them unfit to fly. He was desperate to do anything he could to keep them from reaching the American ships. Finally, the exasperated Japanese squadron took off in another direction. Deeply relieved, Butch O'Hare and his tattered fighter limped back to the carrier. Upon arrival he reported in and related the event surrounding his return. The film from the camera mounted on his plane told the tale. It showed the extent of Butch's daring attempt to protect his fleet. He had destroyed five enemy bombers. That was on February 20, 1942, and for that action he became the Navy's first Ace of WWII and the first Naval Aviator to win the Congressional Medal of Honor. A year later he was killed in aerial combat at the age of 29. His home town would not allow the memory of that heroic action to die. And today, O'Hare Airport in Chicago is named in tribute to the courage of this great man. So the next time you're in O'Hare visit his memorial with his statue and Medal of Honor. It is located between terminal 1 and 2.

Story number two:

Some years earlier there was a man in Chicago called Easy Eddie. At that time, Al Capon virtually owned the city. Capone wasn't famous for anything heroic. His exploits were anything but praiseworthy. He was, however, notorious for enmeshing the city of Chicago in everything from bootlegged booze and prostitution to murder. Easy Eddie was Capone's lawyer and for a good reason. He was very good! In fact, his skill at legal maneuvering kept Big Al out of jail for a long time. To show his appreciation, Capone paid him very well. Not only was the money big; Eddie got special dividends. For instance, he and his family occupied a fenced-in mansion with live-in help and all of the conveniences of the day. The estate was so large that it filled an entire Chicago city block. Yes, Eddie lived the high life of the Chicago mob and gave little consideration to the atrocity that went on around him. Eddy did have one soft spot, however. He had a son that he loved dearly. Eddy saw to it that his young son had the best of everything; clothes, cars, and a good education. Nothing was withheld. Price was no object. And, despite his involvement with organized crime, Eddie even tried to teach him right from wrong. Yes, Eddie tried to teach his son to rise above his own sordid life. He wanted him to be a better man than he was. Yet, with all his wealth and influence, there were two things that Eddie couldn't give his son. Two things that Eddie sacrificed to the Capone mob that he could not pass on to his beloved son: a good name and a good example.

One day, Easy Eddie reached a difficult decision. Offering his son a good name was far more important than all the riches he could lavish on him. He had to rectify all the wrong that he had done. He would go to the authorities and tell the truth about Scar-face Al Capone. He would try to clean up his tarnished name and offer his son some semblance of integrity. To do this he must testify against The Mob, and he knew that the cost would be great. But more than anything, he wanted to be an example to his son. He wanted to do his best to make restoration and hopefully have a good name to leave his son. So, he testified. Within the year, Easy Eddie's life ended in a blaze of gunfire on a lonely Chicago street. He had given his son the greatest gift he had to offer at the greatest price he would ever pay.

I know what you're thinking.

What do these two stories have to do with one another?

Well, you see, Butch O'Hare was Easy Eddie's son.

PERSONAL REVIEW:

I think everybody experiences this word DOUBT...even Christians.. or shall I say most of the time it is US (Christians) who experiences such emotion.
Personally, I often experience this especially in my trying times.. just recently, I post a blog thanking the Lord for my answered prayer - it is about my petition for correction of entries on my birth certificate, I am expecting the worse decision I would be facing at the final court hearing... for me its my way of consoling myself as not to expect too much! so it won't hurt that much.. but as a Christian - is it right? I had doubts ---- on what God can do! and I felt shameful before God for being one! I realized, I've been a bonsai on my spiritual life, I forgot that my God is a God of Possibilities! I am not even worthy of His blessings --- I am not worthy of this answered prayer.
How about you? have you experienced doubts in your daily endeavors?? why not share it with us! and be a blessing to someone who needs encouragement - someone who might have been doubting God's power to take control of their lives!

WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?

1. Admit that you are a sinner and you have sinned

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Every one of us is a sinner. Every one of us have come short of God's glory.

2. Repent your sins to God

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

3. Believe and Accept the the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
You must receive him. Nobody is born into salvation. Nobody deserves it.

You must call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, believeing on him, in his sacrifice for YOUR sins.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Because of our sin, we deserve death, eternal punishment, the wrath of God. But God, because He loves us, has provided a means to have eternal life with Him. That means is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

There is nothing you can do to earn salvation. You must be saved by the grace of God, in receiving him (the Lord).

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Once you receive the Lord, believe on him, that he was sacrificed for your sins, and rose again never to die, you KNOW you are saved.

1 John 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
